Juggling Videos
Juggling is one of my hobbies which I've combined with my filmmaking to produce these Juggling Videos. It has been said many times that if only my juggling skills came even slightly close to my filmmaking abilities, the following videos would have been much better.
In fact I'd much rather film other people juggling than myself.
At present I am running a Juggling Video Competition on behalf of CallJuggler as a way to promote their mobile phone app using social media. For more information about how to win two "Round the World" Airline Tickets plus iPods, etc. with a juggling video check out this youtube video. Follow CallJuggler on twitter for regular updates.
This film was shot during my hour on the One And Other Plinth in Trafalgar Square on Saturday 22nd August.
Obviously as I was up there alone the camera was on a tripod so all the camera "movement" you see in the video was created in the edit.
Some slow motion footage of juggling featuring Casper, James and Tony flow Manchester Uni Juggling Club. This was shot at 100fps so the juggling is being shown at quarter speed.
Tracking Juggling Balls to Making Me Nervous by Brad Sucks. I filmed Ewan juggling 3 stage balls in high def then in Final Cut Pro tracked each ball individually. I then played around with some ideas, presenting the movement in different ways.
"Juggling Baby Sitting and Filmmaking" is a good way of showing that restricting your options breeds creativity.
There was talk of a somebody wanting a video of just a three ball cascade for over 30 seconds and nothing else. Other people commented that there was no point to such a video as no one would want to watch it so that got me thinking: Can I make a 3 ball cascade juggling video and make it interesting?
A montage of jugglers faces filmed at BJC2007!
Casper and Ian from Quirkus pass clubs for a minuet but get very mixed up as Casper is juggling in reverse...
This is a juggling "bullet time" experiment which barely works but I think is fun none the less.
